Distilled in 2000 at the closed Port Dundas Distillery, this single grain whisky matured for 25 years in a single hogshead cask, developing a rich, creamy and elegant character typical of long-aged grain whisky. Port Dundas, founded in 1811 and closed in 2010, was once one of Scotland’s largest grain distilleries and a key component in many famous blends. Today, well-aged single casks from Port Dundas have become increasingly sought after for their smooth texture and dessert-like flavour profile.

A quarter century of maturation in a hogshead has allowed the whisky to develop deep notes of vanilla, coconut, polished oak and soft spices while maintaining a silky and approachable character despite its natural cask strength of 51.7%.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Rich vanilla, coconut cream, toffee and polished oak, with notes of banana, honey and light spice.
Palate: Creamy and full with vanilla fudge, caramel, coconut, custard and gentle oak spice, developing into dried fruits and soft pepper.
Finish: Long, warm and sweet with lingering vanilla, oak spice and a silky grain character.
