This single grain whisky was distilled at Invergordon Distillery, one of Scotland’s major grain whisky distilleries, located in the Highlands and founded in 1959. Invergordon is known for producing a lighter, elegant grain spirit that matures particularly well over long aging periods, developing complex notes of vanilla, tropical fruit and polished oak. Older Invergordon whiskies are especially prized for their balance between sweetness, oak and fruity character.

Matured for 50 years in a first fill bourbon cask, this whisky has developed remarkable depth and complexity while retaining a silky and elegant texture. Long maturation in bourbon wood brings layers of vanilla, coconut, honey and soft spices, while the extended aging adds notes of tropical fruit, polished oak and gentle rancio character. Bottled at 43% in a 500ml format, this is a very old grain whisky showing both richness and elegance.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Rich vanilla, coconut cream, polished oak, honey and dried tropical fruits, with hints of antique furniture and soft spice.
Palate: Silky and complex with vanilla fudge, caramel, mango, pineapple and gentle oak spice, developing into dried fruits, nuts and soft toffee.
Finish: Long, elegant and warming with lingering vanilla, oak, soft spice and a refined old grain sweetness.
